Nomad was my third project with Global Games Jam (2019). The theme for this year was "What Home Means To You"; using this, our team of 5 created a survival style game in which the player must journey across a wasteland in search of a new safe haven. In a very 'Oregon Trail' fashion, the player must managed their resources such as food, water, and fuel, to make sure they make it to their destination.

As my experience and skills had significantly improved over the previous Jam entries, I felt much more confident going into this project. We spent more time fleshing out what the core design of the game should be, cut any features that we didn't think were needed, and focused more on making the game fun than challenging ourselves significantly. However, the project was made in Unity, the teams first time collaborating in any engine other than Unreal 4.
